| What should I expect in a normal Sunday? We love Sundays because that is the one day a week when most of the Blodgett Street family can get together and spend together with each other and God. Our typical Sundays involve three parts: Bible Fellowship classes, morning worship and our evening worship. Nursery care is provided for birth through three years of age for the following events. 1) Bible Fellowship Classes At Blodgett Street, we believe strongly in the need for everyone to spend time in the Word of God. We also believe God created us as relational beings who need friendships. That's why we offer Bible Fellowship classes every Sunday morning. This is a time to be with friends (or future friends) studying the Bible, lifting up prayer requests, and just encouraging one another. We have the best Bible study teachers around, and we have a variety of classes for anyone. Our children's department and nursery classrooms are located in the courtyard in the northeast corner of the building. To find any other classroom, including our special needs class, please go to the Sunday School desk which is right inside the glass door labeled "Welcome Center." 2) Morning Worship Our morning worship is the highlight of what it means to belong to Blodgett Street. One of the wonderful things God has called all of us to do is to spend time together in corporate worship, just praising Jesus. At Blodgett Street we have a blended worship service which incorporates a mixture of hymns and praise choruses. We cannot promise what will happen in a service, but we can promise you that we have Biblically based preaching, and everything we do is "all about Jesus." We also have a Children's Church where our children will leave during the sermon to have a sermon of their own given in a kid-friendly manner in a kid-friendly place. 3) Evening Worship Sunday evenings are usually a little more "laid back" than Sunday morning worship, and it is the favorite service of several of our members. We keep the same blended worship style, and our Pastor, David Prell, typically does book studies from the Bible. |
